Hungary, a paradise for roe buck hunters!

Hungary's roe buck population is unique in Europe. We hunt with our guests in two regions of Hungary.  One of them is our contracted hunting areas surrounding our private hunting lodge, and the other is in Eastern Hungary. 

The hunting areas are located to the south of Lake Balaton, 110 km to the south of Budapest near the town of Paks in the Danube catchment area. The terrain of the various hunting areas differs – some are flat with large fields, whilst others are hilly and, with their mixture of forested and agricultural areas, provide an optimal biotope for roe buck. The roe buck trophy size in the hunting areas surrounding our lodge is 250 - 400 g, but one or two capital bucks with 500 g and more are taken each year. We offer hunting for roe buck in the hunting areas around our hunting lodge as an all-in package. Your accommodation will be in our private hunting lodge. 

In Eastern Hungary we offer hunting specifically for capital bucks with a trophy size of over 500 g. Thanks to our experience and personal contacts we can select the best hunting areas for each hunter. Our areas are ideally suited for hunters who enjoy bringing home a large bag, as well as for hunters for wish to shoot the very best bucks. As a result of the flat countryside of the hunting areas and the large fields, long-range shots of up to 250 meters are possible. We travel with all-terrain vehicles and as soon as a buck is spotted it is stalked on foot until it is within range. In Eastern Hungary you will enjoy your stay in comfortable hotels located in or near the hunting areas. 

The roe buck hunt starts on April 15 and ends on September 30. We recommend hunting from April 15 up to the end of May and from the end of July until mid-August during the rut. From the beginning of June until mid-July hunting is made more difficult by the high vegetation in the large fields.

Hungary and its majestic fallow stags!

Hungary has the world's largest population of fallow deer and offers the very best trophy weights. Fallow stags with antler weights over 4 kg are considered to be capital fallow deer. During the rut in October hunting is open in our quality hunting areas for stags with antlers from 3,5 to 5 kg. 

The largest populations are to be found in two different regions. One of these regions with top quality areas is located in a radius of 40 km around our hunting lodge , south of Budapest. You will experience a fantastic fallow deer rut in these areas. The terrain is characterised by hills with vineyards, high forest, land dedicated to game as well as agricultural areas. In this region we have two high-quality hunting areas at our disposal. We can arrange hunting here for up to 8 persons at the same time. Average trophy weights during the rut in these areas are between 3.5 and 5 kg. You will be accommodated in our private hunting lodge.

The other one is in south-east Hungary close to the borders with Romania and Serbia. The hunting areas in south-east Hungary is flat with pine forests, agricultural areas, meadows and land dedicated to game. Your accommodation here will be in a 4 star hotel close to the hunting areas. Top class trophy weights are waiting for you here as well.

Four full days should be scheduled for a successful hunt. The fallow deer rut takes place during the day. You can remain in the hunting ground during the entire day and can stalk from rutting area to rutting area, adding several fallow stags to your bag.

Europe's biggest sheep!

If you are interested in mouflon hunting we recommend you our hunting areas in the Bakony Mountains, as well as our two large fenced areas, which have a size of 800 ha and a size of 1,400 ha. The hunting areas are located north of Lake Balaton. The countryside of the hunting areas are different. There are areas, slightly hilly with old beech and oak forests, as well as areas that are medium-mountainous and offer an optimal biotope for the mouflon. The area in the Bakony Mountains extends over almost 20,000 hectares. The average trophy size is 70 - 80 cm. However, rams over 90 cm are also shot every year.

IIn our fenced areas you can hunt mouflons from 70 cm, up to high capital rams up to or over 100 cm and up to 240 CIC points.

The best time is from November to the end of February. Especially in winter, the ram has a good coat and long mane.

You are accommodated in first class hunting lodges or in hotels that are close to the hunting areas.

Big Tusker!

As in other countries of Europe, wild boars are among the most widespread game species in Hungary. If you are interested in spectacular tuskers, Hungary is the right place for you. You can hunt these all year round, especially in the densely forested oak areas. There are several successful methods of hunting big tuskers. The most frequently used method is to stalk them during the day, but they can also be shot from high seats or during small driven hunts. A hunt is therefore not only successful during the moon phase. Normal tuskers have a tusk length of 18-20 cm and mature tusk lengths range from 20 to 24 cm. Mature tuskers weight from 100 to 300 kg. The hunt is in natural hunting estates.

Driven Hunt in Hungary!

Driven hunts for wild boars are the most beautiful form of hunting for many hunters, as concentration, quick reactions and hunting skills are required. We organize driven hunts, from one day to four days, with groups of 8 hunters or more, in free range. In fenced areas with a size of 250-450 hectares for groups of 3 hunters or more, as well as in combination. The expected bag is about 20 - 30 pieces of game per day. We recommend a group size of 14-16 hunters to be able to organize the drives as best as possible. In our fenced areas, different daily bags are possible.

From November to January, we organize the popular driven hunts in our contractual areas. In Hungary 3 - 4 drives with each 1 - 2 hours per day are taking place. Classical hunts in Hungary are wild boar and doe hunts. On request, we can also organize pure wild boar hunts, but only in fenced areas.

We offer different types of billing. One option is flat-rate billing, i.e. the price includes all wild boar and doe shootings, as well as your accommodation in hunting lodges or hotels, with full board, all transfers in the hunting area, hunting license and insurance, as well as booking fee. But that's not all: every hunter dreams of shooting a "real" tusker on a driven hunt. With package deal hunts, tuskers (no matter how big) are included in the price and you don't have to think about high shooting fees. Another billing option is for hunters who prefer to hunt based on the individual price list.

Winged Game Hunt in Hungary

Hungary is a popular travel destination for shotgun shooters. We also offer first-class pheasant and duck hunts in combination. The organization, the flight quality of the pheasants, the accommodation and the service, as well as the hospitality can compete with all wild game hunts.

Hunting season:
01.10. – 28.02.

The hunting areas are 30 minutes - 1 hour east and north-east of Budapest.

You can reserve the hotel of your choice in Budapest for your accommodation or you will be accommodated in a castle, which is also 30 minutes - 1 hour away from the districts.

Daily bags of 1000 pheasants or ducks and more are possible with good shotgun shooters.

Each hunter has a personal loader on his stand. Beaters and pointing dogs are used to drive the pheasants. We will do 5 - 6 drives per day. Between the drives there is a small snack and drinks. You will be driven from drive to drive in horse-drawn carriages. After the third drive, a three-course menu is served in the hunting area around the campfire. We start the first drive at around 9 a.m., the last drive ends at around 3 p.m. and the bag is traditionally laid.
