Having hunted a Tur once in the “Caucasus” is something that only a few hunters can claim that. The hunt in the Caucasus is certainly one of the most scenic, but also the most physically demanding hunts you can currently do.
For a hunt on Dagestan Tur, we recommend hunting in Azerbaijan and Kuban Tur in the Caucasus. A combination is possible, but enough time, energy and physical fitness are required.

The Dagestan-Tur (also called the East Caucasian Tur) is a mighty mountain goat with round horns, which distinguish them very much from other wild goats. We offer you two different areas. Once a standard area where you can count on trophies of 70 - 90 cm. The average trophies are 70 - 80 cm. The second area that we offer you is a national park. There you will find trophies over 90 cm and a couple of Tur over 100 cm every year.
Hunting season: April - December
During the best hunting time in June - August the temperatures during the day are + 20 degrees, at night it cools down to around + 10 degrees.
The hunt takes place at a mountain height of 3,000 - 3,300 m and is organized very professionally by the local hunting operator. Depending on the condition of the hunting guests, individual hunts on foot or small driven hunts are carried out here. Occasionally horses are also used here, but only in exceptional cases. The hunt is usually carried out on foot and requires a very good physical condition.
From the arrival airport in Baku it is about 3 hours by off-road vehicle to Ismailli, from there another 2 hours to the camp. We offer helicopter transfers to the camp.
5 hunting days are enough to shoot one (or two) Tur. Due to the high game population, the great experience and professionalism of the local guides, you can count on very high chances of success. It can only fail here because of the shooting skills of the hunting guest or because of bad weather conditions.
We organize a hunt for the Kuban Tur in the Caucasus, in the western part of the Caucasian Mountains. Arrival airport is Mineralnye Vody. From there, you drive to the hunting area in an off-road vehicle for 3 - 6 hours, depending on the area. 7 hunting days are planned for this hunt. A good physical condition and experience in the mountains is a must for this hunt.
In the Central Caucasus there is a hybrid with the second Tur species, the Kuban Tur. The horns of this hybrid look similar to the horns of the Dagestan Tur, but are much weaker than those of the Tur from the eastern part of the Caucasus.

Accommodation during the hunt is in a cozy camp directly in the area. The camp has a separate bathroom with a shower with running hot water that is heated with firewood. There is a cook in the camp who takes care of your physical well-being. In order to save yourself the daily ascent, you will spend the night in fly camps.
