New Zealand is a favorite destination for fantastic red stag and mountain game trophies. You will be offered first class hunting for all acailable game in the country. The wonderful natural landscape, the hunt and the trophies hunted make up for the long journey.

Red stag

The hunts are carried out on private family ranch on the South Island of New Zealand.

The hunting grounds have a size of 800 - 1,200 hectares, where you hunt the following game species: red stag, elk, fallow stag, tahr, wild goat and arapawa wild sheep.

A gold medal red stag usually weighs 9 -11 kg. The coveted 14 kg are around 400 SCI points. If you want to kill your stag, New Zealand is the place for you. The hunting season is from March to August. However, the optimal hunting season is during the rut, from March to April. Then the hunt is also the most exciting and you have the best possible chance to kill a big stag.

Wapiti

The Wapiti has a different different antlers then the Red stag, 12 - 14 antlers. However, as with the Wapiti in North America and the Maral of Asia, crown formations occur. Mature Wapitis have a trophy size of 360-380 SCI points with an antler weight of approx. 12-15 kg. There are also mature Wapitis which have over 400 SCI points with approx. 14-17 kg. Monster Wapitis reach a trophy size of over 500 SCI points, some of which are up to and even over 20 kg trophy size.

As with the red deer, the hunting season is from March to August.

Tahr

For Tahr and Chamois hunting, the hunt takes place in a concession area that offers excellent Tahr and Chamois hunting. Hunting these high mountain game can be made as difficult or as easy as you wish. From your accommodation you can take a helicopter to get into the best high mountain landscapes in the world. The Himalayan Tahr, in all its beautiful winter coat, is perhaps one of the most impressive wild goats in the world. The hunting season for the Chamois and also for Tahr is all year round. The rut takes place in the New Zealand winter months of May and June.

The hunts are carried out on private family ranch on the South Island of New Zealand. You travel by plane via Dubai or Singapore and Sydney to Christchurch. The airlines offer exclusive service so that you can relax on your flight.

From Christchurch Airport it is about 2-3 hours by car. We can also organize a helicopter transfer from the airport to your accommodation, as well as sightseeing flights to show you the most remote places in New Zealand.

Accommodation

The accommodations in the two hunting grounds are very different, as are the hunting grounds and the landscape. In one hunting area you have the option of living in a hunting lodge that is located in the middle of the hunting area and in the second hunting area you live in a private lodge near the hunting area. The hunting lodge is simple, with four double bedrooms with their own bathroom and toilet. Typical New Zealand meals are served in the main house. The hunting lodge is equipped with everything to make your stay unforgettable. World-famous New Zealand hospitality awaits you at the family-run hunting lodge.

In the private lodge you will find five double rooms with their own bathroom, living room, large dining room and a terrace with a large garden.

After a long hunting day, you can enjoy the atmosphere of a beautiful country estate and the hearty flavors of fine New Zealand cuisine - a nice end to a perfect day.
